Why DOES WINDOWS CANT COME UP WITH AN INBUILT ANTI VIRUS SOFTWARE?

WINDOWS CAN EASILY PROVIDE A FOOLPROOF ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE BUILT INTO TTHE OPERATING SYSTEM......THIS CAN THEN BE REGUULARY UPDATED ONLINE....WHAT IS THE HITCH WITH WINDOWS IN PROVIDING ABOVE FACILITY ??

Why DOES WINDOWS CANT COME UP WITH AN INBUILT ANTI VIRUS SOFTWARE?anti virus software

because they would get sued like they did for providing internet explorer

Why DOES WINDOWS CANT COME UP WITH AN INBUILT ANTI VIRUS SOFTWARE?aurora

They were not sued for providing IE. They were sued for making it imposibe to remove and for telling ISPs and other companies that if they wanted OEM prices they had to cease putting Netscape on machines. There is NO reason IE has to be tied into the kernel. Thats only inviting security flaws. Report It

If they do they will go to court for monopoli.
Then their spy ware wouldn't work
How else would the companies selling anti virus software

make money
