you might be facing very problem when our computer goes wrong it feels like some of our body part is in trouble. The best anti-viruse software is Avast go on www.avast.com. I don't like other anti-virus in front of avast like it very much and hope so you will also.
I have a lot of free antivirus/antispyware programs on my system: Avira AntiVir, AVG free edition, Spyware Terminator, ThreatFire, and a-squared. Spyware Terminator has a handy optional feature that warns you when a website is potentially dangerous or when it tries to install spyware on your system. I think the program that has caught the most worms and such for me is a-squared. Avira's also caught a few, although some people might find the nag screens whenever the program automatically updates annoying.
AVG Anti virus and McAfee virus scan Plus 2007 are supposed to help a lot.check out http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-sAFtLsc8e... for more details.
McAfee is a piece of crap and so is Norton. Kaspersky is a pretty solid anti-virus. Here's a review http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2704,216... But as for free I'd go with AVG or Avast. Heres the Pc Magazine review of AVG Free http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,186... and Avast http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,186... These are both active anti-virus programs, they automatically update. To scan you can also try Trend Micro's HouseCall which will scan for viruses on your computer online. http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ Just make sure you have Java installed.
AVG free from Grisoft is my favorite.
go to link below for help
free trials/ surf web
Antivir PE is the best free AV, then Avast, then AVG.

Try Superantispyware, A-Squared free 3.1 and Spyware Terminator for spyware issues. They are all free.

Ccleaner and Iobit Advanced Windowscare are good for cleaning up computers.
avast is a good free antivirus
