Having problems with Limewire when antivirus is installed. Anyone else?

I can use Limewire fine until I install my antivirus software, then it won't connect. I want to use it, but need to keep antivirus on my computer, any suggestions?

Which antivirus are you using? It is possible that your antivirus program can be causing a problem with your limewire connection, simply because it might be running in the background and preventing the P2P application for accessing the limewire network. Is there a firewall portion to your antivirus? that could also be the problem.

Probably the antivirus software, has a firewall implemented, i advise you to go to options and see if there is a firewall, if that's the case then add the limewire as an allowed product to use internet, in the firewall options. That's the problem i think, cause the antivirus cannot do anything, it only scans for viruses or malicious software..

That's all i can say since i don't know which antivirus ur using.
