It is said that one should not use two firewalls together, or two antivirus software together, because they can potentially clash. But two or more antispyware from different vendors are recommended because they dont clash. Is it safe, and is it good to keep two smart monitoring software running together to get a better idea of my hard disk's status. I want to use Active Smart and HDDLife programs together.

there is no problem using two smart monitoring softwares together.even if you use different programs the data which they show will be the same.i use more than two hdd smart monitoring programs together and my system doesnt shows any problems.today most of every overclocking utilities contains smart monitoring function.smart monitoring programs uses the data generated by the motherboard to show the smart status.as we only use one motherboard in computers,there will not be any clashes at all.but in case of antivirus software and firewalls unlike smart monitoring softwares they doesnt greatly depends on data generated by motherboard.you can see an option "HDD S.M.A.R.T MONITORING"when you enter into motherboards bios
information.this'll explain everything.you can enable it or disable it.but it is a truth that smart monitoring programes can override this function if it is disabled.
