How can i set the norton antivirus to block the installed softwares from accessing the internet????

You would need to setup NIS (Norton Internet Security) and just block the softwares in the programs list from accesing the internet. But I seriously would recommend some other softwares rather than NAV. Usually a combination of NOD32 antivirus and Agnitum Outpost Firewall are the best. Alternatively you could use Kaspersky or Bitdefender as your antivirus and Sygate, as your firewall.

Norton slows down your computer and it is not the best antivirus out there.
