Is there any problem having two antivirus softwares (norton 2006 & 2007) in one pc?

In my laptop Toshiba i got 2006 in it, but it was expired so that i bought a norton 2007 yesterday. 2006 is unstalled but it's installing files are kept in my har disk %26 the 2007 is installed running good. I'm worried about those norton 2006 files which are given by toshiba. Are they gonna make any problem while i'm using 2007? pealse reply.

Sorry, the newer program will always override the older one that always exists on a computer, unless you're using a dual-boot on your computer to a different version of Windows, then technically you could run them on the same machine with 2006 running on one boot and 2007 on another.

My mistake, I didn'r read your question thouroghly! It shouldn't, since on my computer I have an Intego firewall and Norton AV.
it will just slow things down, personall i do not like norton, but you could try. start then search/files/folers/drivec/ and see if it differentiates between 06 %26 07 then romove the 06 files from there, but I have a feeling they will only show as norton! good luck!!!
Shouldnt be a problem but maybe try running a good registry cleaner after uninstalling 2006 edition then install 2007.
Do as many anti-viruses as you want to. But it will slow down the computer working to a great extent leading to excessive hair loss . ha ha ha :)
