The best free spyware removal and prevention tools are Spybot Search %26 Destroy, SpyCatcher Express and Spyware Blaster. Each works a bit differently so having them all can really help a tech with pervasive infections.

Also, you should have HiJackThis and CCleaner. They are great tools for digging deep into the system.
